This is an attempt to blog from our phone. The entries will be short but we''ll see if they can be padded out with transcribed voice mails to Heather's dad. Thursday, July 9th, 2009 we rode 131.5 miles from Minot to just past Devil's Lake. There was a tail wind that wouldn't quit and we wanted to see how far we could go. We tried to stop in town but there was no camping in the city park. We left town and started knocking on doors but no one was home. Finally found a wonderful couple who not only let us sleep in their yard but fed us breakfast, gave us great conversation and a couple handmade gifts to take with us. Exhausting but a great day.
